Maybe some usual suspects like Print Spooler or Bit Locker if you don't anticipate using it. Those are minor things though. Disabling defrag at boot could help too. Maybe you could also look at "Scheduled Tasks" and see if anything is starting from there. I think that Avast has some boot time scan too.
How do I disable defrag at boot? Avast's boot time has to be enabled as far as I know, and it's not.

I disabled Defrag completely for all drives except SSD because it triggers Trim instead of defrag and that is not dependent of startup. I don't remember exactly about Avast checking at boot time but I think it can be set while installing it. It was said that Indexing can slow some things down but with SSD makes no difference.

Does disabling defrag have any performance boost?

Not really, it runs only when on idle for some time, at or after the times specified but it's not too important either, Win8 fragments disks very, very little anyway. Xp was cutting file system to shreds, Win7 much less and 8 almost none at all.

I have a problem on one pc that it takes 2 minutes to boot if App Readiness Service is enabled - but when I uncheck that service. boot time is much faster. I don't know if this might relate to your problem, but it's worth a try.

Click"Run">type msconfig>enter>Click "Services" Tab>Uncheck "App Readiness"box>click "apply" and then "OK" and see if that helps the lag in startup. It's the only way I can make this one pc boot up in an acceptable time with no 2 minute black screen.
