Windows task manager showing high system usage

    Good day all,
My task manager is showing an unusually high CPU usage by the system, anywhere between 20-30% when the computer is idling. I've run the sfc /scannow utility and it found some corruptions, which were then fixed by the DISM utility. However the task manager is still showing that super high CPU usage and no amount of restarts is changing anything. Any ideas? I've attached an image of my task manager.

    Thanks in advance

WMI Provider Host constantly disrupting performance of my CPU, - Microsoft Community discusses Conduit causing CPU issues.

Windows Management Instrumentation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia discusses WMI running scripts. My WMI Provider Host is at 0%. The CPU is around 7%. Perhaps something on your PC is taking over one of the cores, and this accounts for 25%.

Have you tried closing applications such as google to see if the idling issue goes away?

Well I have actually, and since the problem occurs on start up, I don't think it has anything to do with any of my running programs. My laptop has been fine for ages, but today when I booted it up, this problem started happening :/ Also one of my CPU cores is ramped all the way up to 90% as well, I've been hunting around for people with the issue but nothing seems to be working

Does the problem occur for a long time after startup? Would you provide a snapshot of performance manager after startup, and list as many processes as possible?

Yes it does, the problem remains for as long as the computer is on :/ Even tried booting into safe mode and the problem persisted

Try disconnecting from the network to see if the problem is too many network interrupts. Tomorrow, you or I can look at Resource Monitor to see if the type of system interrupt can be narrowed down.

Tried that too, nothing is making it go away unfortunately Tomorrow it is then, I'm out of ideas for now anyway. Thank you for the help so far!

    Resource Monitor System Overview

Below is the Resource Monitor System Overview from an AMD A6 system after it has been sitting idle for a while. Do the same for your system, and let's see if any discernable differences show up. The hope is that an indicator toward the culprit will show up.

Not sure, if it is related, but my PC jumped to constant 30% CPU usage when I have updated to the new AMD SATA driver. I use Process Hacker, but the process is called "Interrupts" and it is under "System", so it probably affects System as well. Try to uninstall and also remove the SATA driver. The previous version or Windows default SATA driver should take over after restart. Or you can try System Restore.

Here is the resource monitor after about an hour of the system running on idle, any ideas from there? It's basically showing the same information from the task manager :/

System Interrupts abnormal high CPU usage in Performance & Maintenance
Hi, usually my laptop had in fully idle state about 1-2% CPU usage. Currently I get approximately 8-10% CPU usage in idle state. From task manager, the most demanding process is System Interrputs consuming between 5-6% CPU. I suppose this is abnormal high. Can I somehow lower this usage? ...
