The previous version or Windows default SATA driver should take over after restart. Or you can try System Restore.
My laptop uses an intel processor and I'm already using the stock windows driver it seems :/ I haven't updated any of my drivers in recent times, but it seems this problem could be driver related. As I said I booted my system into safe mode and it still showed the same usage, so I don't have a clue which driver it could be, if it is a driver.

Has 5 ways to fix in windows 7.

More searching may find other solutions.

Let us know if any work. The disabling of the root USB is harmless to try. In the past, problems with a flash card reader was fixed by deleting the driver, which was reinstalled by plugging the reader back in.

At first glance, the previous link has the best way to find the source of an error.

After studying the previous link and WPA How-to Topics , the following

Unfortunately, the dynamic link library (DLL) could not be made to come up. As the DLL name would pinpoint the driver. Perhaps the symbol table is not loaded correctly.

Hello, I have read couple of threads about this System Interrupts thing and none of them really helped me. I think you can check the specs somewhere, I am not sure since I am new to the forum. Basically when I start my laptop everything is good for a while when suddenly the CPU usage goes...
I began noticing that it was a problem after it started rapidly climbing past 70% today (before it was lingering at 60% for months). I have been researching the problem for a few hours and most of the problem solutions I have found do not work for my current problem. It currently is lingering at...
System Interrupts abnormal high CPU usage in Performance & Maintenance
Hi, usually my laptop had in fully idle state about 1-2% CPU usage. Currently I get approximately 8-10% CPU usage in idle state. From task manager, the most demanding process is System Interrputs consuming between 5-6% CPU. I suppose this is abnormal high. Can I somehow lower this usage? ...

Hi! I bought a new desktop last year to run high-end software used for my degree; I installed Windows 8 on it, having got on with it on my laptop. I did notice though, after venturing into the Task Manager, that my CPU usage was at 100%. All the time. Even when idle. In fact, resource monitor...
