Hi,
I upgraded to w 8.1 a few days ago, and when checking the disks partition I discovered a double partition of 36gb each. Do I really need this double partition or could I release and delete one of them? (which one?)

Thanks

Be careful, the partition may not actually be there. Sometimes Disk Management gets confused.

You might try running Diskpart in an administrative command prompt and see if it also shows the partition. You may notice the one partition does not show as NTFS....

You're right, Diskpart shows the correct partition, therefore recovery is only one single partition of 36gb.

Another Issue, I want to add an SSD60gb (caddy adapter)as a bootable drive, and keep the HDD for data.

I'll clon "c" to the SSD. Is there any consecuence if I keep the recovery partition in the non bootable HDD drive ?

Thanks
