So I booted up my pc this afternoon, and could not help but notice with my monitoring software, my cpu activity was going nuts.
I opened task manager, and sorted by cpu usage, and " Store Broker" was using app 35% of my cpu just sitting at desktop.
I ended it in task manager - what the heck is this and why would it be running?

Thanks for any help on this,

Could be a number of things:
- your last 'trip' to the Store you didn't sign out,
- you may not have completely closed the Store app,
- you may have a bunch of updates pending,
- there may be more reasons......

It would seem, any time I open and close ( properly) a Metro app, it leaves this Store Broker service running and consuming a lot of CPU usage...

This morning I clicked on an email link on a forum, it opened up the email Metro app, I closed it propery, noticed shortly afterwards my cpu usage was going crazy - checked task manager and sure enough the Store Broker was running...

Yesterday, I was checking out some news stories in the News app, same thing happened after closing it as well.

Wonder why this is happening now?
