    Log of Windows backups

Does windows 8 keep a log of windows 7 backups including image backup I have made?
Note I do not use File History.

I don't use the inherent Windows System Imaging anymore; however, if I recall correctly, it only allows you to create/store "one image at a time" so I would see no reason for a comprehensive logging arrangement. Now, you can fool Windows into making multiple images but that has nothing to do with your question. BTW, since you have not identified your specific methods, if you are using a 3rd-party system imaging program, the logs should be maintained within that program.

The only way without third party solutions to make a system image is through the button on File History (or Powershell if you insist). The Windows 7 backup facility that was in 8 doesn't exist any more in 8.1 unfortunately.
