When I was installing Windows 8.1 about 4 months ago I followed a guide I found on this website to put my User Profile folder on My "D" hard drive [2TB] because my "C" drive is a smallish SSD [240GB].
I used the Sysprep method, i.e. [C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Sysprep.exe /audit /reboot and Sysprep.exe /audit /reboot /unattend:E:\relocate.xml] and an XML code to move the folder.
Now I am having problems with windows update, and REALLY do not want to do a "format/Install"
Soooo... Is there a way I can Easily move mu Users folder back to "C" and do an update/refresh, with losing my Data and needing to completely reinstall Windows 8.1??
Could I somehow use this ---> mklink /j D:\Users C:\Users <--- to trick my system into thinking Users Profile folder is still in "C"??
P.S. I am NOT a PC SUPER-Genius, I just followed the guide... Any Help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks
