If you have this program installed, delete it, then go to Program Files and delete any left over folders. In my case I removed the program, but it not so generously left a 120Gig 'temp' file on C: drive!!!

I noticed that you have CCleaner, which is a similar program to Registry Mechanic, I recommend that you remove it too...

However to be "scientific" about the program that is at fault simply open Resource Manager, then look at how much disk space is being consumed by respective programs -

    I hope that this helps.

Thanks Davo, i will definitely give that a try. I did temporarily look at resource monitor. I do not rely only on CCleaner for removing TEMP files, i do know where to look for them if i need to. Oh, and no Registry cleaners for me i do not like them they cause more harm then good. Thanks again.

O.k. i believe i might have possibly found the culprit to my problem. By using TreeSize i saw the most recent increase in a folder of the 2GB i have been wondering where it was going to. Turns out it is in a Users Public Temp folder. As said before this does not happen right away when i turn on system, after awhile it occurs and if i reboot it decreases 2GB.

I am posting a screen shot of it, i believe this is due to Windows Media Center temp files. When i look in this folder i do not find these files, but Tree Size shows them. Is it a hidden file? I have my folder settings to show hidden files and folders.

Are these needed files? Is there a way to delete them? Even though it seems when i reboot there most likely gone.
Then again is this my culprit, did i find the right files, so far i think so because they were the most recent dated files to increase at the time.

Looks as though i may have found it, when i rebooted i reran TreeSize and looked at this folder and files were gone.

Only issue is is it Windows Media Center causing this and why ? I do have Hauppauge WinTV also and this maybe doing it to.

Could be just updates to guides, not sure, but i do not record Live TV.

TH folder is under Recorded TV so I would suspect Hauppauge.

Anyway of knowing why it does this process, for a Temp .srb in Recorded TV ? Way to stop it or does it not matter or does it need to?

I thought for sure it was Windows Media Center. I looked into the settings of both programs, nothing showing this or anyway of changing it. Only Treesize enables me to see it, so if i go directly to folder it is not there.

I feel i figured out this issue and it most likely was the Hauppauge software writing these files everyday on my drive.
I made a change in the software's settings and it looks like it is not occurring anymore. Thanks for help.

Turned out to be Windows Media Center after all, talked to Micorsoft.

This is for anyone who may use this thread for there problem.

No resolve to it though, unless disable Media Center all together .
