Hello,

I found many forums with this issue but none really gave a decent solution.

I have a new laptop windows 8.1 (64bit) 8gb RAM i7 processor which should be sufficient for the software I use.
however on start-up my memory is already at around 80% and stays like that.

The most seems to be caused by servicehost (network restricted) (11)
another program is IAStorDataSvc (32bits) even after i updated Intel Rapid Storage it still seems to take some memory.
(My system settings are in Dutch but I guess it's pretty much the same as in English)

Has anyone an idea what could be the cause of the massive memory use?

When I have seen this in the past, I have been able to resolve by upgraded the Rapid Storage Technology driver from Intel to something higher than version 11.5. Hope that helps.

The problem is with the non-paged pool usage. 4.6 GB is many times what a reasonable value would be. This would normally mean a driver issue.

Thanks for the response, I used the software you enclosed in your reaction, I update every driver but the problem still persists, I ran out of options, do you think a factory reset will solve it?

Thanks for the quick reaction, installed the newest version of Rapid Storage Technology driver, the file IAStorDataSvc (32bits) is gone but it still uses around 80 to 90% of my memory

I encountered more problems like errors during use when charging battery so I send my laptop to Samsung, they replaced the motherboard for some reason but everything is back to normal now. (replacing motherboard soundskind of drastic but it worked)
