Could someone help me determine whats causing these windows error reports please. I've used the extent of my google abilities and cant get a working solution. As i've checked all my drivers are up-to-date. Also how I know there's something wrong is that it takes my computer a bit of time to get into Windows or to shut down.

Using windows 8 by the way

No sign of BSOD's or memory dumps; but lot's of Live Kernel Events in MSINFO32's WER Reporting section.
If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

While waiting for a reply, please monitor your temps with this free utility: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

I noticed 3 issues in the attached report:
1) Warnings for the e1dexpress device. This is most likely your Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I217-V (wired network driver). Please update it to the latest version available from http://downloadcenter.intel.com (I think that this is the correct driver for Win8: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...rsion=Windows 8, 64-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers )
2) Errors for this device ACPI\PNP0A0A. This is either a device that starts with AMD, or it's the ATK0110 ACPI driver
I'd suggest checking the Asus website for the utilities that you don't have installed (either under the ATK, Utilities, or Other sections)
3) I see a failed boot, followed in about 10 seconds by an unexplained system shutdown.
- The failed boot seems to be due to a failed file rename issue
- Is the unexplained shutdown due to you holding the power button down in order to restart the machine?

Please let us know the exact make and model of your system if further assistance is required.

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI hero
Graphics: Asus HD7850-DC2T-2GD5 or HD7870-DC2T-2GD5 (Kinda forgot)
OS: Windows 8 64bit

Im not sure what else you would need but let me know if you do.
As for the steps you listed.
1) Downloaded from intel n installed
2) For amd everything is up to date and for the ATK all i found was this on asus site "ASUS_AMDA00_ACPI for Windows 7 32/64bit & Windows 8 32/64bit & Windows 8.1 32/64bit." and i actually installed this sometime ago.
3) It failed to boot and requested to press F1 which i did and i just selected load defaults in bios n let it run its course, never did force restart or power down.

I'll see if there are anymore errors tomorrow morning when i switch on, till then. thanks

Let's see if this has helped, please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Any further symptoms? If the system isn't having problems, then I usually just ignore any errors in Event Viewer.

only that i notice its a bit slow to start up and shut down, screen goes blank on shut down but i hear cpu fan running and i see the HDD led blinking. Use to do this for maybe 10-15 mins, now its sometimes 2-5mins.

But once windows is up and running everything seems fine.

Uninstall the Asus AISuite - there are errors from it (DipAwayMode.exe) around the time of your problems.
Test to see if that helps things

Update the network drivers as there are many networking issues
The most prominent error is with e1dexpress (Intel® PRO/1000 PCI Express Network Connection Driver) - the driver for your wired network device.

Please disregard. I had forgotten that you'd updated the drivers from the Intel website earlier.

Then please run the following DISM commands to see if there's any problems with the system (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after each one:
Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

If the problem is fixable, you can use this command to repair it (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after typing it:
Code:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

From this article: Repair a Windows Image

Please also run sfc.exe /scannow from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt to check for further corruption.

After running those, please capture another Admin log and upload it (along with your comments on how this helped/did not help).
