dual booting with win7 and win8 on a single HD

i thought win8 boots very fast been using it for a while now and
when booting up its takes too long to boot about 2 min, the time it takes before the boot selection option appears
when i select win8 it takes another 30sec to a minute for the lockscreen to appear

when shutting down it also takes too long about 3 min for the pc to power off

has a 1366x768 capable viewsonic monitor
i dont have a 1366x768 resolution settings on win8 but when i'm using win7 i do have that resolution

pc spec amd phenom xII-4gb ram-ati 4650

any ideas?

Look, what i've created... just a few visits at the recyclement center was enough...
Have a look in the Device Manager, sounds like you have missing drivers, you might have to install motherboard drivers or video card drivers or both.
