Hello
My windows 8 HP laptop keeps getting scanning and repairing drive D 100% complete and just stays there and nothing happens. And sometimes it goes on and it just becomes a black screen... My laptop was shut down for a few weeks and this happened and I need it again now... I got a new laptop which is why it stayed off but now i need it again. What should I do? I don't care if everything on it gets erased. I actually prefer to format it. Moreover, my f keys dont work nor does my escape button.
Any suggestions?

If it gives a choice to Quick Format don't choose it. You want to slow format everything to make sure any flags marking the partition as needing a scan are written over. It may judt warn you everything will be erased, But this tutorial should do it:

My laptop doesnt go past the black screen so I cant do anything nor access anything. If it turns on then I know how to restore and so on but it doesn't and I don't know why it is stuck on. Repairing drive D 100% then the black screen if it proceeds to it which only happened once till now and i left it 40 min and it was still black..

Sorry. I don't believe there's no way to boot to a refresh screen. Did you try hitting F2 constantly while the machine is booting? I don't see any details in system specs. The key varies by manufacturer. It could be another function key or the delete key. If there's no way in then you need a WinPE boot disc or USB.

From WinPE is shown here:
Fix: Windows 8 fails to boot; Automatic Repair, Refresh, Reset PC also fail
