Partition Problem

I partitioned my hard drive in order to dual boot Windows XP and Windows 8. While I was trying to UN-Partition so I could use the Windows 8 half as all my memory, the partitions somehow changed from Primary Partitions, to Simple Volume, I'm not sure what that means. I just need to know how I can delete what's on Drive D: and use it all on Drive C:. Any help is appreciated. Attached is a screenshot of my problem.

From Disk Management, you should be able to right click on D: then Delete Volume.
Next right click on C: and select Extend Volume.

Where does this calling storage drive "memory" come from. There is a lot of it about recently.

You ended up with dynamic partitions. You have to covert them back to basic disks.

You're right! It can get pretty dang confusing when people call things by the WRONG name.

Like calling a desktop PC a "modem". That's an old favorite.

Or like calling a partition a drive. Even M$ does that. In my book, a drive is a physical disk'
