question re macrium image and restore

I have the following partitions in my computer:

1 Win RE tools
2 System
3 Unformatted Primary
4 C: OS and programs
5 F : Data
6 G: Entertainment
unallocated
7 NTFS Primary
8 Recovery

Originally when I received the computer the only partitions were 1, 2, 3,4(super large partition of over 9GB), 7 and 8 .

I shrunk partition 4 , and created 5, 6 with the remaining space and left some unallocated space as well.

If I use Macrium to image only partitions 1, 2,3,4, 7 and 8 ie leaving out F, G . What will happen if I restore using that image? Will it only restore the partitions I imaged and not override F and G ?

If you have the paid v 5 I would ask here
as well. Might as well get it right from the vendor.

But there are many Macrium users here. You should get a response. I use Macrium but I'm not an aficionado like some others here.

Here's a restore example (see attachment), C: ticked, will then restore to C:. Will not interfere with anything else on the disk (can't guarantee 101% success, but always works perfect here).

I hesitate to make a full disk image because the disk is 1TB so I thought I will leave out the Docs and entertainment partitions.

I tested it over several hours & made these screen shots:





It didn't remove the unchecked partitions.

It looks like imaging important partitions will work and there is no need to image the whole disk . Tks
