Windows 8.1 INSANE HEATING problem when lid is closed

This issue occurs on my MacBook Pro with Windows 8.1 on it (via BootCamp).

When checking the "Change what closing the lid does" options, I have it on "sleep" for when I close the lid.

    This is what I see:

Even so, three times recently when I've closed the lid on my MacBook Pro, it gets really hot. Does this mean it's still running? This problem doesn't happen on my OS X Mavericks partition.

The poster in this thread seems to have a similar problem:

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe the reason why this is happening is that your laptop isn't going to sleep at all... maybe a driver or something on your PC is preventing it! I suggest you to track down (if possible) the process who is preventing your PC from going to Sleep mode!
You could start by letting Task Manager running on the background while your PC is in "Sleep mode", hope this helps a little!
