I think COM Surrogate task is broken.
I have 99% CPU usage most of the time.

I have tried sfc & dism.

I bought a program to fix problems.
I think that was a waste of money.

I have no viruses.

I cleaned out every junk file I could find.

I shut off various start up programs.

If I use Diagnostic start up the problem goes away but I can't connect to the internet.

If I end the task, it restarts itself.

I have Googled it.
I tried various solutions with no success.

The strange thing is, even with 99% usage, my computer runs pretty fast.

The last time I emailed Microsoft, they never replied.
Poor customer support.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know please.

I found a solution that seems to work from the 7forums link.
See picture:

I'll give it a while & see how it goes.

EDIT- You have 3 green pips now. :)

Its more likely a video codec or an antivirus/antispyware messing around with your computer.
