Computer freezes when downloading large files in uTorrent

Hello, My computer started freezing while downloading large files in uTorrent, About 10 minutes after starting uTorrent the PC starts to be really really slow and 1 minute after it freezes, only restarted/shutdown solve the problem, I've been using uTorrent for years and never had this problem, I mean it happens when I download a 15GB movie, but two months ago I downloaded a 170GB TV series and no problems were with that.

So I thought maybe its a problem in the HDD (not in the space, I have aprox. 150GB free in C and 220GB in D), I don't really know what to do, hope that you will help me

What happens when you attempt a large direct download from a non-uTorrent site? Try one of these 3GB+ ISOs for a test:

Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life

If any of the above work OK, then it is clearly a uTorrent issue.

Downloaded the file, everything went smooth, no freezes or slows.

OK, then you do have a uTorrent issue and that issue may be directly related to the way a uTorrent download is executed, a specifc uTorrent download, and/or the uTorrent client you are using.

From Utorrent Menu. Click on Options->Setup Guide. On the next screen, click on Run Test to see if the port used by Utorrent is opened & forwarded properly.

Did the test, got two V's / Ticks.

Did you try to run chkdsk ?

I tried it now and everything seems to work fine, Ill test it and update tomorrow if everything will go fine.

Seems like a 9GB file was fine, but when tried a 15GB file it froze again, I looked in my task manager before it froze and I saw that the "System" took all the Disk space and the Disk space was on 99% so it was overloaded.

Sounds like you are going to have to free up some disk space in the very near future. Good luck.

I have 238GB of free space in D, I didn't had this problem when I had 70GB free in D

EDIT : Is there any diagnostic tool for HDD?

I thought you were referring to the actual disk spec remaining when you said:

Disk space was on 99%

I'm not sure that what you read actually meant what you said. It possibly meant the disk was spending 99% of the time reading and writing and that would be normal for a large direct download.
