My windows 8 is up to date, with the exception of 8.1.

It shouldn't use that much of cpu power of my athlon ii x4 640 3ghz processor.

Okay wow, basic programs like skype using 30% of cpu power? No thanks. It's so bad that even my mouse cursor lags sometimes.

How do I revert back to windows 7? I have windows 7 install disk and my windows 8 version is pro.

Help would be more than appreciated, solving the high cpu usage problems or how to downgrade back to windows 7 or both.

Alright so I turned my Wifi off and my cpu usage percentage dropped to 0-4%. And as soon as I turned wifi back on, it jumped back to 25-30% cpu usage.

Any ideas? I also tried disabling my antivirus program and firewall but that had absolutely no effect.

You could try updating your wireless adapter driver.

Tried updating it and it caused my PC to BSOD so I did a system restore and I guess it works now? It doesn't use as much cpu at least.

I'd still prefer Windows 7, how do i downgrade from 8 pro?
