Hi there.

I want to reset my Win8 system but I have a question.

I've made a seperate partition (acts like a backup for situations like this). This partition stores my music, pics, documents etc.

If I reset Win8 will it also affect this partition, or just the partition where the OS is installed?

Thanks

hi Quaresma,

Well if you are lucky you get everything back, at least that was what i did get.

The second time at first after rebooting, i could not use the administrator priviliges, do not know why, so i rebooted a second time and then i could, but when going into Programs & Features, every program was gone and i had to reinstall all of them.

So in fact in that case a fresh install of Windows 8 takes about 10 minutes (i guess) since one has not to do that much

The first time i messed around with File Explorer, the second time it was Modernmix from Stardock that crashed and so did Win 8.1., Stardock offered a new version.

Jeff

Those things happen
