GRUB2 and Windows 8 equals no hybernation nor fast bootup

Hello, i have problem with my dualboot. When installing ubuntu 13.04 and window 8 along each other, windows 8 won't hybernate (screen just gets blank and lock itself), tha same with turning computer off (when fast bootup is enabled). When i recover mbr using bootrec.exe /fixmbr (basicly switch back from GRUB2 so i cannot boot into linux) everything works fine. Could someone aim me to direction where to look for answers? Atleast that would be really appreciated

Are they both running off of the same drive? I had Ubuntu installed as a dual boot like that into Windows 7 at one time, I had similar problems. But that was an old version of Ubuntu, before 10. I eventually put Ubuntu on it's own drive and it was better. But then the system crashed and I never installed Ubuntu as a dual boot after that.

So, if you use Fixmbr, you cant get into Ubuntu? Try changing your Boot Loader to Legacy mode, see if that works:

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

run that in Admin command prompt, then try to get into Ubuntu that way.
