    @Maverick
    ATTO results are misleading (results are much higher than should be). In your case 4x higher than crystal disk mark and Samsung Magician.
    It is difficult to say what to expect from Windows running from bootcamp, but for Samsung Evo your SSD is underperforming.

    If I would believe these ATTO data:

    ..my SATA 6GB/s would be faster than PCIe. Not possible.
    I would stick with CrystalDiskMark

    Thanks Michal,

    I forgot to mention that the EVO for bootcamping Windows 8 is in a SATA-II sled of the MacPro. Due to boot problems in combination with a PCIe SATA-III card, which cannot hold the OSX and BC drive all together.

    Gee, we tried Dwarf. Your bench won't run on win81-64 with i7-3770k on Intel wares with 32gb, but somewhere around 5 times your punch +. Win81 install time circa 4 minutes, boot 0.7 secs. Every bench is dif, so I guess you should update this topic with PCMARK or anything up to the task.
    Ciao.

    I personally am not a fan of Raid setups. They just complicate your life. And although they produce nice measurements, in real life there is little difference because the access time is the same.

    interesting opinion on raid setups, i personally like them, they are simple and can un-complicate your life if you mirror (always got a backup)

    Raid is not a backup, a mirror gives you redundancy, not a backup. For example, get a virus, and both drives are infected. Accidentally delete all of your pictures, all pictures are deleted from your "backup" as well. Raid provides redundancy in case a drive falls, but it should never be confused with a backup.
