Solved Search doesn't work

My search feature isn't working.:shock: This is the main search that should start with you typing while the metro screen is up. Some time ago it just disappeared. I've tried a couple of things to get it to work, but I can't. Can anyone run me through trouble shooting it?

I've tried this previously. It tells me that I need to update Windows Search to version 6 or later. I've looked and I've not seen how to do this. Any ideas?

Have you applied all available Windows Updates? Do you have Windows 8 Search checked as an option here?

This solved my problem! Thank you very much for your help. The windows search feature is almost critical for getting things done in Windows 8. I'm glad it was such a simple solution. I had tried much more complicated things previously. You're a life saver my2cents!
