Hi,

I did a factory reset on my pc, after backing up all of my files to an external hdd... how do I restore those files to the fresh factory reset? Do I put them in a .zip and move them onto the onboard hdd? thanks -Jeff

Welcome to EightForums.

If you copied the files to external hdd, just copy the files back.

Is there a special way to do it? that is not 1 file at a time? im a noob

If you have the files organized into the same directory and file structure in the backup that is present on the HDD, then all you have to do is drag the upper-level directory onto the HDD, and when it prompts for replacement, choose the option to replace ALL.

But ... this presumes you want to overwrite every file on the HDD with the same file on the backup.

If you want to be selective about replacement, you will have to do it one directory at a time.
