the hardware is i5 2.4Ghz, 8GB ram with 64GB SSD for C drive.
the Windows screen rotating circle always rotate for 8-10 rounds before going to the login screen.

Your plight really doesn't sound all that bad to me; however, you can improve your startup time by disabling all unnecessary programs from startup and also make sure you have fast boot enabled (turn on fast startup). Good luck.

    Hi there
Also remove any USB connected devices (HDD's) at boot -- the BIOS often goes through quite complex initialisation procedures before completing the Windows start up and load.

Plug in external USB HDD's AFTER boot --- USB Mice and keyboards are fine . Remove also any cards that are present in any card reader attached to your machine until after boot.

set the power options as well to High Performance, (Control panel) and TURN OFF HIBERNATE option.

With your hardware a boot up time should take literally seconds. Ensure also the latest set of Windows updates have been applied -- sometimes uninstalled updates are processed at boot time too.

    Cheers

Do not touch the ACHI setting. It will do no good to change it. Did your start time improve after following the suggestions? What is your current start time (in seconds) and where would you like to be relative to that time? Please understand that a restart is different and my take longer than an actual cold start w/ fast boot enabled.
