Question on "Solve PC issues" pop up

I have Windows 8 and down in the System tray in the bottom righthand corner, something occasionally pops up that says, "Solve PC issues 4messages." I have a question about two of the messages.
One message says, "Reconnect your drive" When I click onthat it says, "Your files will be temporarily copied to your hard driveuntil you connect your File History and run a back up."
I don't understand what it means. I do run back up occasionallythrough Control Panel.
The other says, "Trust this PC." Well of course I trustmy PC. When I click on that a box pops up that says, "Because you'reaccessing sensitive information, you need to verify your password." I thenneed to sign in and give a password. I don't even know what password it is referringto nor do I understand what it wants to do.

I think the "trust this PC" has to do with your Windows Live ID. It won't sync with another PC unless its added as trusted to your Live ID setup page online. The password its asking for is likely your Windows live ID sign in password. I have no idea what the other message is all about. You can turn off certain types of messages, I turned off any nags about doing backups.

Thanks for the information about the "trust this PC". I don't use Windows live so I can just disregard that one. I also disregard the nag about the backups.

    Hello Frank1,

I think your first message is directly related to the fact that you have file history turned on and the target drive (external) was not accessible at that time (of the notification). You can read more about it here:

I think alphanumeric answer your other questions. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks to both of you--both of my questions have been answered. Afterreading your answer, I went into Control Panel/File History and found that Istill had it turned on. I then turned it off; and I no longer get that message.
