W8 Acting up (please help!)

It started when I was searching stuff on google when everything crashed. I had just gotten rid of a virus a couple of days ago and suspected it was back. I opened my task manager and closed any background processes is didn't recognize. I closed a application and my computer shut down, and every time I turn it back on and I log in, it signs me back out automatically. I managed to stop this by locking my computer and logging back in. The desktop is black and the task bar has nothing on it at all. I cannot interact with any of them. It was something beginning with "D" and must have been graphics related. I tried system restore but it comes up with an error about closing anti-virus programs  I tried with task manager but AVG will not close. If you need extra information I will give you it.

ANY information would be amazing.
I will include a screenshot of my computer specs, if that is off any help.

Thanks, Harry.
:)

It really sounds like you may have removed the virus but it left the resultant damage behind. Now, as I see it, you have two choices:

1- Go to a forum that specializes in malware removal and maybe they can help verify the malware is removed and possibly hep you fix the damage that was left behind.
2- Save all your important files and images to a backup location and prepare to do a clean install.

Good luck.

According to malware removal tools and AVG, the file(s) have already been removed from my computer and that everything is running as it is, but my problem still persists. I may downgrade back to W7 professional if it is all I can do.
I have tried scanning plenty of times and tried installing Windows Defender but I am unable to and im getting to the point where I will give up hope and buy a new computer

Many thanks.

I re-logged and noticed on the split second that my windows 8 has some kind of stamp in the bottom right corner saying
"Test Mode Windows 8 Pro Build 9200"
Was this the virus?

Hi again Harry,

AVG and malware removal tools can only verify that the source is gone; however, neither can verify the functionality and integrity of the computer after a malware attack. For example, some malware will overwrite critical entries in the registry and they are not checked by malware tools or AVG. Its like putting out a fire (you killed the source) but the master bedroom is destroyed (eg, registry entries). Good luck and thank you for the acknowledgement.
