I can't partition more than ~.5GB

Hello people, I am trying to partition 25 Gigabytes of my hard drive to dual-boot Ubuntu, but when I go to "Shrink Volume" and try to shrink my C: drive, I can only shrink around half a gigabyte. I defragged it and it still won't shrink more than that. It is a 440GB drive and I still have 298GB free. Please help! I want mah linux!

Might be a good idea to post a full screen pic of Disk Management first, let folks here look at it.

I ran into this problem. and defrag wont sometimes wont fix it.

I found that it mean thats theres system files in the way and windows doesnt want to move the files, if microsoft made the program smarter like other partition programs, it would reboot the computer, move the files and partition the drive.

Like Ztruker said. use easus partition tool and it will do what I described.
