I have Windows 8 Pro.
I copied the exe & zipped it & attached it.

EDIT--- If you choose to download it, Run a virus scan on it before doing anything with it. :)

Now, you could unzip it & put it in the system 32 folder.
This you would do at your own risk.

I copied it from my system 32 folder.

Mine is 64 bit. :(

Oh well.

Was there a 32 bit copy IN your folder to start with ?
If so it should be right next to the 64 bit one you added.

You might as well delete the 64 bit copy.

Somebody here might send you a 32 bit copy.

The only other thing I know to suggest is a Refresh of your system. :(

Hello Melviii, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command to see if it may be able to repair or restore the optionalfeatures.exe file for Windows Features. Sometimes it may take running SFC a few times with a restart of the PC between each time.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

You mentioned you use Win 8 Pro.The exe should be from a Pro version, if Brinks suggestion doesn't help.
I'm glad he stepped in to help.
He's better at fixing things than I am. :)

Just a thought, if sfc /scannow won't fix it, you could try:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

in administrator command prompt also.
It takes a while to finish.Just let it run to completion.
