Solved Skydrive not in taskbar

Hi there. Don't know where exactly to post this. Running Windows 8 HP. I just installed Skydrive and I wanted to set up sync. No such possibility. The only place my Skydrive shows up is in the library, in windows explorer. For nwo it's empty. On some windows 8 forum it is said that that to set up syncing you need to click on the icon in the taskbar. Well, it's not there. I know you can customize the notification area. But it's not there either, visible or invisible. What now? Should I reinstall the app? Thanks in advance for the help.

If you mean you installed the SkyDrive desktop app, then you may have just closed (exit) it. The SkyDrive taskbar notification area icon will only show while you are signed in to SkyDrive. The tutorial below can help show you how to sign back into SkyDrive with the desktop app. This will allow your SkyDrive folder to sync with your online SkyDrive.
In addition, you may also wish to make sure that SkyDrive is set to automatically start when you sign in to Windows.

By default, the SkyDrive app is installed to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\SkyDrive. Navigate to the folder, start it. If it doesn't work, reinstall.

Thank you all for your answers. I found the hidden file in my user folder and launched it. The program is syncing my files at this time.
