Solved Are Registry Cleaners Safe to Use?

Since they are all over the Internet, I assume a lot of people do use them but is it safe to use? Just my random question that crossed my mind

i use cc cleaner and seems to be a real good one. I hope it is as also it does more than just clean too

I avoid most like the plague, Ccleaner is pretty decent if you absolutely need one. Unless you have a glaring problem, just leave well enough alone. Considering the sheer # of lines and entries in the registry, a few entries from an uninstalled program isn't going to bring your computer to a screeching halt. Think about it, lets say that there are 200,000 entries in your registry. You really think the 4 lines pertaining to ImgBurn are going to really make a performance difference.

yes your probably right. i installed cc cleaner and am so glad i did because it was the only program to stop a horrible virus program from starting up and disabling you to use your computer - This was a bad scam in where this company asked you for your card details to fix the problems it scanned and showed you have problems on your computer. The cc cleaner had to be loaded very quickly when the computer first boots to the desktop and just before this bogus scanning program loads!! With Cc cleaner i was able to disable the bogus scanning program to load. So i always download cc cleaner on a computer or new computer for this reason alone
