Randomly sleeping when I don't have it set to

I'm having a very strange and intermittent problem with Windows 8 x64.
I've been running this particular installation for about 4 months on an Asus U56E. I have no problem with Win8 working on the laptop.

This only happens one day out of every week.

I leave my computer sleeping all day. Come home after 8 hours, wake it up. I use it for a couple minutes, then leave the room for a couple minutes. I come back and it's asleep! The same process repeats until I do a reboot.

My power options are set to never let the computer sleep. It just decides to after only a few minutes of idling.

Any thoughts?

Lets try to reset your power plan, maybe something got in there, the options are endless in there and easy to miss something..

Once reset make your preferred changes..

From the elevated command promt copy/type powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

Trying this now. Probably won't know if it works, considering how unoften the problem occurs.
Thanks!
