I have what ought to be a fast computer. 3.5 ghz processor, 8 gig memory, SSD. But when I right-click on the desktop it takes 4 seconds for the context menu to appear. It takes 8 seconds to open Excel. After clicking on the volume control icon it takes 5 seconds for the slider to appear. I can't believe it's normal for Windows to have such poor responsiveness.
In Resource and Performance Monitor the only thing unusual is it mentioned WMPNetworkSvc as being an Abnormally Stopped System Services. But that service is stopped.
What can I do to resolve this?
Thanks much for all help.
