    Delete System Image Restore Point

    I am showing a "System Image Restore Point" under "Restore"; how do I delete? Deleting restore points does not remove it.

    Have you tried to delete all but the most recent restore point in C:\ Properties Disk Cleanup ?

    Please look at this post: Unable to delete "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google" folder

    Your HD might be corrupted.

    You need to open an elevated command prompt and type: chkdsk c: /r /f and it will prompt you if you want to run on next restart, answer Y. Reboot your PC to let it run.

    Did it and it took over 30 minutes. I tried again from elevated command prompt and it gave me volume in use again. What next?

    Edit: Just ran chkdsk without any options from elevated command prompt and it did not find any errors.

    Try this:

    In administrator command prompt type :

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Let it run. It takes a long time.It will finish.

    Then run sfc /scannow in administrator comand prompt.

    Have you tried deleting the related 'System Image' ?

    fwiw;
    I had that problem once from deleting the System Image folder from the drive rather than using the control panel the proper way. I forget exacts to remove the restore point catalog listings that actually have no image left but I did it from a system repair disc. Maybe it asked me if I wanted to remove invalid catalog entries there when I tried to use it while booted from cd.

    Perhaps you can be rid of it by deleting all system images from in the control panel.
