Windows 8 Backup = Installing Old Files

Hey! Recently I refreshed my laptop to make it faster(and to remove the viruses/spyware). Before I refreshed it, it has Sony exclusive programs like the VAIO smart network etc. I backup it both manually and with file history. I found the Sony programs and copied it to my computer. The problem is, how do you install it again? I cant find it in the search tab nor I dont know of I can still open it but I know that it is in fact complete. How do you think I should install it and as much as possible I dont want to use the file history method!

Hoping for your best and fast answers!

    Hello DHK,

If you like, you can download the software directly from Sony at the link below after looking up you specific laptop's model number.

Sony eSupport - Electronics - Select Your Model

Do note, that refreshing Windows 8 may not get rid of a virus. It wouldn't hurt to do a full scan of you system with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free to help make sure it's clean.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks Brink!

Actually I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free right after I refreshed my laptop and it detected nothing at all. Going to scan my laptop next with full scan using windows defender. Also, thank you very much for the link that you have given!!

    Thanks a lot buddy!!
