[h=2]Windows 8 Performance Drop[/h]

So I upgraded to Windows 8 64bit a month ago, and my gaming performance has dropped ever since then. I have a gt650M, so I know that isn't a problem. I didn't do a clean install; I did the upgrade via the assistant. For instance, Just Cause 2 stutters, whereas in 7 it didn't. My nVidia drivers are up to date as well. This is really irritating me. Any suggestions?

Have you updated all your mobo drivers and your BIOS, sometimes this helps especially with the BIOS update. Windows 8 recommends updating your BIOS before installing the OS.

I updated the BIOS after I upgraded, and I believe all of my drivers are updated. So updating my drivers wouldn't do anything.

Is your Windows Up to Date? if not the you run Windows Update and update your windows 8 to latest.In windows Update there you will see WDDM driver for your Graphics card. These WDDM driver works best with Windows 8.
