    Hello Philip,

    Macrium Reflect is a good option, but the tutorials below can show you how to use the built-in System Image feature in Windows 8 if you like.

    Yeah, the name makes it confusing. It's a carried over feature from Windows 7, but is for Windows 8.

    Run cmd as an Administrator, navigate to the target drive, for example E:
    mkdir e:\Examplefolder
    recimg /createimage e:\Examplefolder

    Other free Image programs are Online Backup - Free backup, Online Backup Windows Software and AOMEI's free data backup software for disk, partition, system and file backup & recovery for Windows Oss.

Backup in Performance & Maintenance
I did an original backup when I first upgraded to W8 on 26 Oct. I was not aware of this but when I did the original with the Microsoft recommendation it established a backup every Sunday. I don't know if this is necessary so should I do this or change it. Please advise Thanks
