Faster system startup

Does it really matter what programs I have startup? By that, I mean will it hurt my computer to not let.. for example... Persistence Module, by Intel Corporation startup?
I'm more or less asking what is safe to disable on startup, and what isn't.
Obvious it'd be smart to leave my touchpad on, as I'm using a laptop(Even though I do use a wireless mouse.)
If you need more info, feel free to ask.

Hello Blinkdawg, and welcome to Eight Forums.

It's safe to disable any of them if you like, but you should leave any from Microsoft enabled since those are for Windows.

You could just disable what you like, and restart the computer to see how it goes. You can always enable any that find you need, and restart to apply.

Hope this helps, :)

I disable everything (even the MS ones) and keep only the AV program and those that I started myself - e.g. a dock. Never had a problem.
