    UEFI boot, slow as MBR!

I have followed this CRAZY article (will tell you why later on) hoping to benefit from a legacy BIOS/MBR boot mode, to UEFI mode.
Well, the disappointment is quite big: there are no performance improvements, boot time is slow as before; 34s.

It's not just about the 34 seconds, it's about being exactly the same time in MBR/Legacy BIOS mode!

    Has anyone experienced this before?

    Hello!

No, most modern BIOS chips usually run somewhere around 1-8 seconds. For example, a Windows 8 laptop I have in my possession is still using BIOS with the EFI shell that can run if the user went to that. BIOS time is 1.2 seconds. A motherboard a friend of mine used for a system build for Windows 8 has pure UEFI BIOS on it, BIOS time of 8 or so seconds. Things vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, or even motherboard to motherboard from the same manufacturer as the examples I gave were of ASUS boards/laptop.
