System restore

Hi everyone,,im trying to Restore my new laptop to a date that i choose but the system restore module chooses for me and it will not let me enter a date that want,,,grrrrrrr its beginning to annoy the hell outa me,,im on a samsung laptop running windows 8,just want to restore it back to the 1st of jan,,,please some super hyperspace whizz help this novice, thankyou

Hello Soul, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Are you able to select (dot) the Choose a different restore point to then be able to select from your other restore points? If not, then you don't have any other restore points available.
