Clock stops showing correct time in Taskbar

The time is not shown correctly in my task bar, this happened for second time, when it happened a month ago, I just changed the time, has this happened to anyone else?

By any chance did you have your Laptop battery out and power cord unplug prior to this happened ???

This is usually the sign of your CMOS battery going bad, your Laptop is probably a few year old. Please unplug the power cord, take out the battery, hold down the power button for few seconds, wait for a few minutes then put everything back in, power up your Laptop and note the time, if it changes then You need to replace it. Below is the link to show you how:

NOTE: Without power cord & Battery plugged in. CMOS Battery is the only power source to keep your clock & BIOS Settings current, if it's dead, incorrect time will display, BIOS Settings might get corrupted or set back to factory defaults and in some case Windows updates will fail because of incorrect time.

Yes, this is happening all the time with me. This morning at 8:20am, the time on the task bar reads "6:34 PM" .. Most of the time, my fix is to hit the windows key to go to the tile view and then back again to desktop and it shows the correct time. But this morning it is not working at all. I'm going to try and reboot. (Desktop machine).

Solved Clock in Taskbar stuck in General Support
Could someone please tell me why the clock stops in taskbar, Thanks.
I can't find the right setting. I know I used to be able to change the style of this clock ( perhaps with XP) , Windows gave you lots of fancy options/styles to change this clock to. I need to use a different style because this desktop is so bright it washes out the time and I can't see it.
