Well, my computer uses a lot more usage than any of my friends on windows 7, or any other operating system. I have taken off a lot of the apps and that doesn't seem to be the problem :/ is there any way to fix this? If so please help, thanks. :)

Welcome justin, Could you clarify your question by adding a tad bit more info, to describe the problem.
There are many members in this forum that can help, but, they need to more clearly understand the problem.

thanks

medab1, I am not quite sure what is the problem, "usage"?

I'm pretty sure he is low on free space.
I could be wrong though.

He said he removed apps, hence the deduction he needs more free space by getting rid of unwanted or unneeded things.

I uninstalled ALL apps.

Then took ownership of the Apps directory and deleted the thing. It is in the recycle bin where it belongs.

If you are going to leave those things, be prepared for them to suck up bandwidth.

Yes.

I did it with dism commands.

However, you can go to the start screen, rt click an app. and an icon appears at the bottom of the screen so you can uninstall it.

Some of them are hard to get rid of. The Store app. and IE are persistent little buggers. You can leave just those two if you like.

You can also discourage them from trying to start with a small registry change .

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\AllUserInstallAgent] "Start"=dword:00000004 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SystemEventsBroker] "Start"=dword:00000004 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\TimeBroker] "Start"=dword:00000004
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\WSService] "Start"=dword:00000004

Go to folder options and untick "Hide Protected Operating system Files "

Take ownership of C:\Program files\WindowsApps and delete it.

You can use the take ownership context menu to do that:

Take Ownership - Add to Context Menu in Windows 8

If not please advise, as I am turning the "live tile" off thinking I was saving usage as well?

Just uninstalling them from the start menu might be enough for you.
