How to Disable Adaptive Brightness?

Hi everybody,
I have the annoying adaptive brightness for my Sony Vaio laptop running windows 8, I tried going into my settings like all the pages told me to do, but I could not disable the adaptive brightness because the option was not there... I don't know how else to turn this annoying thing off. I tried turning off the sensor monitoring service and restarting but that would not work either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
