I recently obtained a new Notebook running Windows 8. This has made me very happy, since my old Desktop PC was a junker; Had to run with extremely poor performance, and in constant fear of a dead HDD, due to problems with remapped sectors. So getting a new Notebook was, for me, a breath of fresh air.
I'd have preferred to run Windows 7, but Windows 8 has thus far proved to be more than manageable.
However, I now have a giant problem.
After clearing off some of the bloatware from my computer, I'm now having troubles with Explorer. Whenever I right click on a file, Explorer freezes up completely, and I have to restart it, along with the Taskbar. The same thing also happens when I click the 'Share' tab at the top.
Even more unusual, there's no problem with this if I drag the file to the Desktop and work with it from there.
However, often I find myself crashing explorer out of sheer force of habit.
In reaction to this, I am currently running an sfc /scannow, to see if any system files have been damaged, but I am still left clueless as to why this would occur, or how to get Explorer back to its proper functionality.
EDIT: Windows has found no problems with system files.
