    Right click

I have two computers running Windows 8. One of them is working fine - when in a website or app, making a right click causes the screen to show a Windows 8 enviroment at the superior and inferior sections of the screen, allowing me to do some things such as "pin to start", etc.
But the other one is not working properly - when I make a right click I just get "old fashion" menus, that is Windows 7 menus. And the websites looks like W7 as well.
I can not find anything wrong at the settings.
    Could you help me please?
    Thank you
    Raul

Hello Raul, and welcome to Eight Forums.

It sounds like you are not using the Metro IE10 from the "Start" screen on the other computer, but using the desktop IE10 instead.

See if this may be able to help to restore the Metro IE10 to open and use to have the metro right clicks in it.

    Hope this helps,

Hi Brink, thank you for answering.
I'm sorry but this is the situation: 1) I have IE as default; 2)at the Control Panel "Let IE decide" is selected and under it is "Allways IE on the desktop"; 3) Internet Explorer 10 is "on" in Windows Fetaures. Now, I get the Start Screen, then the Apps screen, select Internet Explore, make a right click to select it and then "Pin to Start" - the Internet Explore tile appears at the Start Screen but does'nt work!!! It's dead. Nothing happens when clicking that tile.
Sorry again. I hate to bother you, but if you have some other clue it would be very welcome.
P.S. I see no setting differences in the computer working right.

Do any of the other Metro apps on the Start screen run properly when you click on?

Is it showing the Metro or desktop IE10 tile on the Start screen?

The other Metro apps work fine. The problem is with IE and the tiles that call apps thru internet. On top of that the IE tile does not work at all, as it does not find it.
As a matter of that : where is IE located? Where is the file location?

The path for IE is below, but that's for the desktop IE10.

    "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Do you have a 3rd party AV or firewall program installed? If so uninstall them as a test to see if that may help with apps that use the internet.

Excuse me Brink - lets just cut to the chase. Try this: go into default programs and set IE to the default browser and see if that helps you.

That's what's in the tutorial I posted above.
