I've encountered this problem before, where the hard disk corrupts and Windows won't boot and enters preparing automatic repair infinite loop.
But i think this can be saved, because the Windows drive is a bit corrupt is still accessible, i can access the drive via DVD, and on my Dual Boot Ubuntu 12.10, i use the Ubuntu bootloader, whenever i select to boot my Windows 8 Loader theres a blank screen for about 3 MINUTES, then 'Preparing Automatic Repair, Diagnosing PC..' shows up, and the diagnosing PC never ends.
I'm really tired of having to re-install Windows because of minor problems, if i have no choice, is there anyway i can still keep my Metro UI apps after reinstall?
But i still want to fix this!
