Moving files and programs OFF of my SSD.

So, I keep reading about other SSD owners who have Windows 8 installed on it that decide to move the User files off of the SSD and onto the HDD. I would like to be able to do that as well as move any other optional "space eaters". Anyone able to point me to a Windows 8 specific write-up or simply explain it right here?

Also, I have come to realize that some programs DO NOT give you the option to choose your destination folder. Is there a way to get programs I don't want on my SSD onto the HDD? I have no problem attempting to uninstall the programs and try to get them on the HDD that way but, if those programs don't give me a destination option...what should I do? Anything?

I feel that this will optimize my situation/needs and give me much needed practice for future installs(ya know, just in case I get close to capacity on the SSD). Currently, I am at 52GB used on 118GB worth of free space.

I have to ask, why? The SSD gives you faster launching of programs with no latencies during disk intensive scenarios.

Simply because with certain programs I don't see much of an increase of performance. They seem to load just as fast or fast enough for me not to care about it being on my SSD.

This is a good question because so far I haven't read of any way to install Windows 8 Apps on anything but the system drive. For your older desktop applications, most will give you the option of where to install when you begin the installation process. For example, on my Win 7 computer, I have a partition (D) on my storage drive where I install all the programs--at least the ones that give me the option.

Wish Win 8 gave that option.
