Windows 8 Reliability Issues

OK, I installed Win8 late October. I have really been trying to give this OS a try. But every day, something different keeps happening and there are NO SOLUTIONS! I cannot even run Win8 update, I get error 80244FFF. I tried the repair tool for that...nothing has worked. When I play videos, whether it be youtube, wmv, dvd, mp3, mp4, there seems to be a skip here and there. Haven't been able to fix that. (radeon HD 7800 series with latest driver) Now I am getting more problems. This is absolutely the worst upgrade I have ever experienced from Microsoft! NO FIXES NO SOLUTIONS! Just so you know, when I did the upgrade from Win 7, it was pretty much a clean upgrade because my Win7 had just gone through a total recovery (back to manufacturers installed Win7) I also spent money and upgraded my programs for Win8!. My computer is a Dell XPS 8500 64 bit.
My problems today are pictured below. Anyone have any solutions to these problems? Is Microsoft addressing any of these problems?????

Hi,

st service scheduling

Can you find these in Event Viewer and post those results?

You can also try this tool,,, SF Diagnostic Tool - Using for Troubleshooting - Windows 7 Forums

Wait for it to complete,, Follow all directions specifically.
Then right click the folder and add to zip and post it here.

I do not believe this will be a specific Win8 issue. But could be Win8 on that PC, (ie; Driver Issues). This is a guess right now.

And if Tepid's advice doesn't work, just Refresh Windows 8.

but remember that you will have to reinstall every desktop application manually. metro apps should install automatically.

OK, here's what I have done:
I ran the troubleshooter for Windows Update, found error and fixed it...but still receive error 80244FFF
I used the SF Diagnostic tool - same error when trying to update
I did a sfc /scannow - no integrity violations - same error when trying to update
Still receive reliability issues with PC Doctor (Dell Support Center Program) rt security system (Dell's Data Safe Backup), and system maintenance has stopped - will run next scheduled date, and some other issues as noted above - computer reliability rated 1 out of 10 since I installed Windows 8. I ran system maintenance when I went to bed. When I woke up it was still running. Is this normal?
I tried booting without all the start up programs and services. ( hid all the miscrosoft stuff when doing this) Still received error 80244FFF when trying to update.
I then tried refresh PC
I received an error Driver Power State Failure
Put me back to where I was
I tried it again
This time I receive this message: The drive where Windows is located is locked, unlock the drive and try again
And it put me back to where I was it said without making any changes
I then thought I would try system restore to an earlier date (note; it got rid of my earlier restore points, it seems to only save a few, and I was not looking at good restore date, but thought I better) and there were no restore points to go to. They were all removed!
I did another sfc /scannow to make sure everything was ok and no integrity violations were found.
The system maintenance was not an issue in action centre any more.
For a hoot I tried windows update and it worked. I had three updates to install.
I haven't tried any of my other programs to see if they are working right, just thought I should update you on my progress.
Thank you for trying to help me with this.
(Now I see an auto save popping up while I type this - what is that?)

It has been two days, the only issue I seem to run into quite a bit now is mysqld-nt. exe That is due to running sage 50 simply accounting. I have installed the latest version, still runs into the mysqld-nt.exe problems when backing up data. That cannot be fixed by Sage until they are willing to process a patch...they will have to have a lot of complaints to do that (more people running Windows 8), or Microsoft fix it. I don't know who can do the fixing there. Everything else seems to be running better! (Knock on Wood)
