What can i delete to gain more space

Can I get rid of some of win 8's apps...how

Just right click on the apps, a popup will appear on the bottom. click uninstall.

Another place is under: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder, this is where Win8 download and install updates, just delete them all but after updates.

what exactly are you trying to do?
save space from SSD? that means, moving some unwanted stuff to another drive should work, right?
in that case, you can move your installer cache like this. (disclaimer: one of the articles in my blog)
