Solved Windows Backup and Restore

I am new to Win8 and especially to the UEFI bios on my HP Envy.

I immediately created a System Recovery Disk and after a short while of customizing Win8 I did a Windows Backup of where I was at that point to an external HD.

My question is did the backup include all of the partitions required by the UEFT bios so that if I had to make a 'bare metal' recovery those partitions would be restored as well as the system partition?

Thank you Theog. The images you show appear to be for creating a system image. Do they apply to a System Backup?

I may have my terminology miixed up with Windows 7.
