    The Invisible Mouse

Good afternoon. After installing Win8 CP on an old Dell that doesn't have NX capability, I notice that my Logitech Wireless Mouse becomes invisible by the time it gets to the Start Screen. I can see it on the Lock Screen and when entering the Password, but after that, it becomes cloaked. Plugged a Wired mouse and it also goes invisible. They're both there, but invisible mice belong in the hole in the wall. What to do? A glitch like I've never, ever seen. Amazingly frustrating. Does anybody got a Mouse trap so that I can snag this mouse and make him visible? Where to even begin ...........

Hi, Positronics. Welcome to Eight Forums.
Maybe try and reinstall the Windows 8 Consumer Preview or refresh it. Can you continue to click on things? Just curious, or maybe is it just invisible. Go into control panel and change the cursor if you can, possibly the cursor has been set to something invisible.

Thanx for a speedy reply. I'm dual booted with Win7 and both the Wired/Wireless mice are happy, cheese-eating fools on this one. As soon as I enter my Password on CP, both mice hit the skids and activate their cloaking fields. It's beyond words - a CP glitch
that someone must've seen before. I had it visible when plugged into a 4-way USB hub. But, when plugged directly into the USB port on its own, it becomes a Chamelion. Damn! Remarkable what goes my way.

Hi. First of all, let me say that I know there is already plenty of threads regarding this kind of issue. I've read through lots of them, but I can't find anything that matches my problem. Hence, I've found no solution to this. So, the problem: I have a Samsung 530U3C laptop with a 500 GB...

Hi. I installed W8 in another partition just to learn it and do the move later. I got no big issues but... The next day I noticed I have no mouse pointer in the "metro" interface. If I am in the desktop the pointer shows OK. I looked carefully at boot/turn off stages and at the beginning...
While you may think the start button is missing its really just invisible. If you mouse to the lower left corner of the desktop and left-click you get the Start screen. Admittedly it isn't the same as the XP or Win7 opening start menu but it can be configured to serve much the same purpose (often...
In a magic trick that only geeks can pull off, researchers at MIT have found a method to let users click and scroll exactly the same way they would with a computer mouse, without the device actually being there. Cup your palm, move it around on a table and a cursor on the screen hovers. Tap on...
